Bonjour à tous 

Je tiens à m'adresser à vous pour vous remercier d'avoir signé notre lettre ouverte qui permet de nous faire entendre des promoteurs et des journalistes,  et pour vous inviter à venir le 6 octobre à Carentan.

La concertation préalable se termine et même si nous n'en attendons pas beaucoup, tant les organisateurs sont persuadés qu'ils détiennent là un Graal, nous devons manifester notre opposition par notre présence. Tout le monde ne pourra évidemment pas se déplacer, mais nous prendrons la parole pour rappeler vos 800 signatures.

Nous nous opposons à ce qui ne sera rien d’autre qu’un spectacle tape-à l'oeil à visée financière. 

Les promoteurs défendent leur projet mégalomaniaque en invoquant la véracité des faits historiques (mais leur film de présentation contient déjà une erreur importante en utilisant au sujet du Débarquement de 1944 des propos tenus en 1940 par Churchill). Ils travaillent sans comité scientifique, contrairement à ce qui a été annoncé. 

L'intérêt pédagogique du projet est très douteux tant il est inimaginable de faire apprendre l'histoire du débarquement et ses conséquences en une trentaine de scènes de 90 secondes, avec de nombreux effets spéciaux et quelques dizaines d’acteurs. 

Ce projet n’a pas davantage d’intérêt en termes d’emploi, la grande majorité des recrutements  annoncés n’étant que des emplois saisonniers alors même que la filière touristique peine déjà à trouver du personnel.

Le D day land sera par ailleurs responsable de l'artificialisation de 32 ha de terres agricoles dans un contexte climatique, énergétique et international pour le moins problématique.

Nous assistons donc à une mascarade de concertation. Il faut la dénoncer et nous pensons que la dernière réunion publique doit être le lieu d'une telle déclaration. Plus nous serons nombreux pour exprimer cette opinion et mieux notre opposition sera prise en compte. Nous sommes prêts à agir auprès du préfet et du tribunal administratif pour arrêter la modification du plan local d'urbanisme.

C'est pour cela que nous vous adressons cet appel afin que nous soyons nombreux à la réunion du jeudi 6 octobre à 18h30 à la salle des fêtes de Carentan. Cependant, si vous ne pouvez pas venir, manifestez votre opposition, en adressant un courrier au garant de la CNDP qu'il devra prendre en compte dans son rapport final (laurent.demolins@garant-cndp.fr) avec copie au maitre d'ouvrage (richardlenormand@normandymemory.com) et à nous-mêmes (comit50480@orange.fr).

I would like to thank you for having signed our open letter which allows promoters and journalists to hear us, and to invite you to come to Carentan on October 6th.

 The consultation is about to end and even if we don't expect much from it, as the organizers are convinced that they hold a Holy Grail there, we must show our opposition by our presence. Obviously not everyone will be able to move, but we will take the floor to recall your 800 signatures.

We refuse what will be nothing more than a flashy show with financial aims.

The promoters defend their megalomaniacal project by invoking the veracity of historical facts (but their presentation film already contains a major error by using statements made in 1940 by Churchill about the 1944 landings). They work without a scientific committee, contrary to what has been announced.

The pedagogical interest of the project is very doubtful as it is unimaginable to teach the story of the landing and its consequences in about thirty 90-second scenes, with many special effects and a few dozen actors.

This project is no more interesting in terms of employment, the vast majority of announced recruitments being only seasonal jobs even though the tourism sector is already struggling to find staff.

The D day land will also be responsible for the artificialization of 32 ha of agricultural land in a climate, energy and international context that is problematic to say the least.

We are therefore witnessing a masquerade of consultation. It must be denounced and we think that the last public meeting must be the place of such a declaration. The more of us there are to express this opinion, the better our opposition will be taken into account. We are ready to act with the prefect and the administrative court to stop the modification of the local urban plan.

 This is why we are sending you this appeal so that many of us can attend the meeting on Thursday, October 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the village hall of Carentan. However, if you cannot come, express your opposition, by sending a letter to the guarantor of the CNDP which he will have to take into account in his final report (laurent.demolins@garant-cndp.fr) with a copy to the supervisor. work (richardlenormand@normandymemory.com) and to ourselves (comit50480@orange.fr).
